Maymester/Summer 2008 Academic Calendar

May 15	Maymester Registration Deadline	Last day to pay at least $50.00 of the total fees before schedules are purged. A $50.00 late fee will be assessed to continuing students registering after this date.
May 19	Start of Maymester	First day of the three week Maymester session.
May 21	Dropping Classes	Last day to withdraw from Maymester without a “WS” or “WU” grade.
May 26	Memorial Day	Classes held.
May 28	Grade Appeals	Last day to submit Spring 2008 grade appeal letters to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for May hearing.
May 28	Eight Week Session Registration Deadline	Last day to pay at least $50.00 of the total fees before schedules are purged. A $100.00 late fee will be assessed to continuing students registering after this date. Clinical students must register by the registration deadline.
May 29-June 4	No Registration Activity	No registration activity. Advising only.
May 30	Withdrawing	Last day to withdraw from Maymester.
June 5	Late Registration	Non-clinical continuing and new students may register. A $50.00 enrollment fee and a $100.00 late fee are due the day of late registration.
June 6	Student Orientation	Freshmen and Transfer Orientation
June 7	Last Day of Maymester	Last day of classes.
June 9	(“I”) Removal/Change of Grade	Last day to revise Incomplete grades and other grades for Spring 2008. Change of Grade forms submitted after this date will require the approval of the VP for Academic Affairs.
June 9	Start of Summer Session	First day of the eight week Summer Session.
June 9-13	Add/Drop Period	First day for schedule adjustments after the registration period.
June 9	Final Grades Due	Last day to report Maymester grades to the registrar’s office.
June 13	Freshmen Advising	Advising for new fall freshmen students
June 13	Adding Classes	Last day to add classes for the Summer semester.
June 20	Dropping Classes	Last day to withdraw from Summer Session without a “WS” or “WU” grade.
June 30	FAFSA Deadline	Last day to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2007-08 academic school year.
July 4	Independence Day Holiday	No Classes. Classes resume July 7th.
July 7	Mid-semester	Last day to report mid-semester status for Summer.
July 10	Freshmen Orientation	Orientation for new freshmen students
July 17	Freshmen Orientation	Orientation for new freshmen students
July 21	Withdrawing	Last day to withdraw from the Summer Session and the College.
July 24	Freshmen Orientation	Orientation for new freshmen students
July 30	Parent Night	Orientation night for parents of new freshmen students

Aug. 2	Classes End	Last day of Summer classes.
