Healthcare Provider CPR (Basic Life Support)

This course
taught by American Heart Association BLS Instructors is designed to
teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation
with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of automated
external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign-body airway
obstruction (FBAO) to healthcare providers. The textbook is optional.
Completion cards will be issued to those who successfully complete this
course.
Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal
(Basic Life Support)
This course taught by American Heart
Association BLS Instructors is designed to update those individuals holding
a current Healthcare Provider CPR card and who feel confident with their
skills. (You must have current AHA Healthcare Provider card.)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course (ACLS)

This two-day course is designed to teach the principles of
ACLS and their practical application according to the standards and
guidelines of the American Heart Association.
This one and-a-half day course is designed to prepare
participants to identify and treat cardiopulmonary arrest and common
conditions that may lead to cardio-pulmonary arrest in infants and children.

Basic
Life Support Instructor (BLS-I) (Click for fact sheet)
This program is designed to prepare American Heart Association (AHA)
instructors to disseminate the science, skills, and philosophy of
resuscitation programs to participants enrolled in AHA courses. Upon
successful completion of this course, instructors will be able to instruct
all AHA BLS courses: Healthcare Provider CPR, Heartsaver CPR/AED, Family &
Friends CPR, CPR in Schools, First Aid, & Pediatric First Aid.
ACLS
Instructor (ACLS-I) (Click for fact sheet)
The purpose of this course is to instruct the participant in methods and
techniques for organizing and conducting the ACLS provider course according
to the AHA 2005 Guidelines.
PALS Instructor (PALS-I)

This half day
course is designed to prepare instructors in the principles of teaching and
learning, PALS science update, review of AHA programs and teaching
strategies, manikin maintenance and decontamination, and case scenario and
practical evaluation stations.
