ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE
Our Lady of the Lake College offers the Accelerated Associate of Science
in Nursing Degree Program
at the Metairie Campus. This program was formed through a partnership
in conjunction with East Jefferson General Hospital, whose administration
partially subsidizes students’ expenses in exchange for signing a
contract of employment upon graduating. The Accelerated ASN Program is
an intense two semester program that was created to provide an avenue
into the nursing profession for students who have earned a non nursing
baccalaureate degree. The program was originated in 2003 and is
approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Graduates attain the
Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and are prepared to write the
National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
