Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program

The Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program was developed by Our Lady of the Lake College to meet the changing needs of the clinical hospital laboratory.  Students gain an understanding of the theory of diseases and their effects on laboratory testing.  They also perform a clinical rotation in a healthcare facility lab, following a program that stresses the basic diagnostic laboratory testing principles.  Graduates find employment in a variety of environments, including hospitals, medical laboratories, physician’s offices and clinics, blood banks, research laboratories and with the federal government.

The Clinical Laboratory Sciences programs are accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS; 8410 West Bryn Maur Avenue, Suite 680, Chicago, IL 60631; (773) 714-8880).
