Health Service
Administration Program
Healthcare is one of the largest industries in
this country and continues to grow relative to other industries. Also
increasing is the need for graduates with a solid understanding of the
principles of healthcare operations.
The
Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration Program is designed to
prepare students for careers as healthcare administrators in a variety of
settings. These include acute care and psychiatric hospitals, primary care
facilities, medical group practices, long-term care facilities, public
health organizations, health insurance companies, alternative delivery
organizations and federal, state and local agencies.

CURRICULUM
The Bachelor of Science in Health Service
Administration curriculum consists of one hundred twenty credit hours
including up to seventy-five credits for an earned associate degree in
clinical area, general education and elective credits. The professional
portion of the program is thirty-nine credits, with an optional internship
for students without clinical or administrative experience.
ADMISSION
All applicants should meet the general academic
requirements for acceptance to Our Lady of the Lake College.
ENROLLMENT
Students can be accepted into the program at the
beginning of any semester, and may enroll on a part-time or full-time
basis. Entering freshmen, transfer students and students already holding an
associate degree may begin the program. Call (225) 768-1700 for application

Our Lady of the Lake College welcomes
applications from all qualified individuals. All transcripts are reviewed
on an individual basis, according to College policy, in order to determine
eligibility and placement in the program. Equal educational opportunities

AID
The Our Lady of the Lake College
Student
Financial Aid Office is available to all applicants to discuss eligibility
for financial assistance. Please call (225) 768-1714 to schedule an
appointment.
Applicants are encouraged to complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Our Lady of the Lake
Regional Medical Center also offers generous tuition reimbursement to
qualifying employees.
