Bachelor of Arts
The
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities Program encourages personal and
professional achievement through enhanced literacy and critical thinking
skills, combined with a broad-based understanding of the individual and
collective human experience. The curriculum’s 127 credit hours
cover a broad range of subject material. Upon earning the Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Humanities, students generally enter into a variety of
professions or enroll in graduate or professional programs.
CURRICULUM
The
Bachelor of Arts in Humanities Program consists of 127 credit hours.
Students must complete 49 hours of core curriculum coursework before
enrolling in junior-level courses, and must pass ENGL 211 (Academic
Discourse) with a grade of “C” or better.
ADMISSION
All
applicants should meet the following minimum requirements for admission
to the Humanities Program:

Same
general academic requirements for acceptance as Our Lady of the Lake
College.

Must
apply for admission to the program prior to completing the final 60
credit hours required for the degree.
·
Must
develop a degree plan with a program, must meet with the program advisor
every semester prior to pre-registering for the next semester.
ENROLLMENT
Students
may enter the Bachelor of Arts in Humanities Program at the beginning of
any semester. Both entering freshmen and transfer students may
enroll on either a full-time or part-time basis. Call (225)

Our
Lady of the Lake College welcomes applications from all qualified
individuals. All transcripts are reviewed on an individual basis,
according to College policy, in order to determine eligibility and

Applicants
are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) form. Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center also
offers generous tuition reimbursement to qualifying employees.
