Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is an independent, private Catholic College founded by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady.  Over 2,000 students participate in this student-centered academic community, which promotes a holistic approach to student growth and development.  We strive to engage each of our students in the pursuit of academic excellence and to instill in them a concern for the needs of society.  At the same time, we give them the personal attention of the college faculty, administration, and staff.

Our Lady of the Lake College is a diversified institution of higher education made up of two academic schools and a Health Career Institute. The two academic schools are the School of Arts, Sciences and Health Professions and the School of Nursing. The School of Arts, Sciences and Health Professions offers baccalaureate degrees in biology, behavioral science, clinical laboratory sciences, forensic science, gerontology, health sciences, health service administration and  human medicine; and, in addition, offers associate degrees in arts and sciences, long-term care administration, physical therapist assisting, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy and surgical technology. The School of Arts, Sciences and Health Professions also offers a Master of Science degree in physician associate studies. The School of Nursing offers the following degrees: associate and accelerated associate degreed in nursing; Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science degree in nursing; master’s degrees in nursing and nurse anesthesia; and Licensed Practical Nurse to Associate of Science in nursing.

The Health Career Institute offers several certificate programs, as well as continuing education for the health care community. The certificate programs include phlebotomy, certified nursing assistant, license practical nurse, pharmacy technology, patient service coordinator and complementary therapies.

The College provides an environment that anticipates, recognizes and is responsive to students' needs in promoting academic achievement and student learning. Student services, academic support services, student development and a wide range of administrative departments and services are offered to assist students in achieving their educational goals.
