What is SGA?
The Student Government Association is an organization in which every student is a member and is provided the opportunity to participate. This association is established to provide all students with a form of representative government. Through this organization, rules and regulations are formulated and implemented, and plans for student activities are made. Students are encouraged and expected to attend meetings and participate in the activities of the organization.
When And Where Does SGA Meet?
SGA meets the first Thursday of each month, unless that Thursday is a holiday, then the meeting moves to the 2nd Thursday of the month. The meeting time is 5:00 PM. The meeting location is the upstairs room in the Library Commons.
All SGA activities are open to all Franciscan University students. Activities are promoted by email, portal, and postings in each building. There is at least one SGA University Life Activity a month. SGA activities are planned by the Advisors, Offices and Senators of SGA. We want your input. Please send any suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org or talk to one of the officers or senators.
How do I become part of SGA?
Every Franciscan University student is already a member! If you would like to become an active part of SGA, come to the monthly meetings, contact one of the SGA Officers or Senators, send your contact information to email@example.com, or come by the Student Affairs Office.
