Q. How do I get admitted to OLOL College?
A. Students begin Our Lady of the Lake College in the Arts & Science
program. Contact the Admissions Department at 225-768-1700 or go to the
Admissions part of the web site for

Q. How will I be admitted if I made a 19 on the ACT?
A.
The Admissions section in
Arts
& Science explains this fully. But, if you are a true freshman
applicant and you have a High School GPA of 2.00 or higher, you will be
accepted as a provisional admit. An ACT Composite score of 20 or higher is required for regular
admission.

A.
To find out accurately what courses will transfer from another
institution you should call the Office of Admissions, (225) 768-1700,
and make an appointment to meet an Admissions Analyst to review the
transcript.

Q. Do you offer Saturday and evening classes?
A. Yes, we offer a variety of morning, afternoon and evening courses,
including Saturday classes (see
the Class Schedule).
Q. Do you help graduates find jobs?
A.
We currently do not have a job placement service for graduates, but as
you progress through the clinical courses you get a lot of exposure to
the surrounding hospitals and that helps to know what jobs may be
available when you get out of school. Also,
we have a Career Planning Specialist who can assist you with a resume,
cover letter, interview coaching and job search strategies.

Q. How do
students apply for work-study programs?
A. Go
to the Financial Aid Office on campus
and they will get you started by filling out an application for
work-study.
Q. What
is FASFA? When should I submit it?
A.
The FASFA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
You should submit your FASFA as soon as possible to ensure that your
application will be processed in time. See our Financial
Aid page for more details. (The OLOL College school code for the FASFA is

Q. Will your courses transfer to other schools?
A.
Yes, we are a fully accredited institution, see catalog for further
explanation - page 1.
Q. If admitted to a clinical program can I go to class part time or
at night?
A.
When a student is admitted to a a clinical program the courses are
during the day on a full-time basis.
Q. If I am having trouble in a course, is it possible to get help or
tutoring?
A. Yes. If you need help in any course, you should contact
the Tutoring Office at OLOL College to
set up an appointment with a tutor. To set up an appointment with

Q. How
big are classes?
A.
OLOL College offers small classes that give each student the personal attention
they need to succeed in any course. Classes at OLOL College are rarely
over 30 students.
Q. How
long are classes and breaks?
A.
OLOL College offers classes either once a week for 2 hours and 45 minutes with
a 15-minute break or twice a week for 1 hour and 15 minutes each session
without a break.
Q. Do you
have to take a certain amount of courses in one semester?
A.
No. You have control of your schedule. To maintain full time you
must take 12 credit hours of courses and part time is 6 credit hours.
You may want to check with Financial Aid to see if you are required to
maintain full time for scholarship/ TOPS/ Grant/ or Loan purposes. For
